Virginia (Ramacher) Throop
Virginia (Ramacher) Throop, age 87, passed away September 14, 2009. She was born in Fresno, CA on May 24, 1922, raised in Santa Cruz, and moved to Chehalis, WA, where she graduated in 1940. She married her high school sweetheart, John Throop in 1942 before he left for Germany in 1943 as a soldier in the Army National Guard.They moved to Auburn, WA in 1950 where they raised their children. She was a member of 1st Christian Church in Auburn, and later Kent East Hill Baptist Church.Virginia enjoyed family gatherings, camping at Ocean Shores, fellowship with church friends, gardening, flower arranging, and singing solos in the church. She is survived by her daughter Johnlene Castan of Port Orchard, son Thomas Throop of Kent, daughter Lia Hodel of Auburn, son David Throop of Federal Way, Lynda Deering of Kent, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.Memorial services will be held on Oct. 6th at 11:15 at the Tahoma National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with John, her loving husband of 64 years.
