Vernon O. Behrens
Vernon O. Behrens, 86, died August 13, 2010 in Kent, WA. He was born to George and Grace Behrens April 6, 1924 in Brookings County, SD. He served in the Navy during WWII. He married Virginia R. Bergman February 7, 1946 in Seattle, WA. Vernon Retired from Tradewell Stores as a truck driver after 34 years. He was a great fisherman and hunter who loved the outdoors and camping. He was always willing to help people. Vernon is survived by his loving wife, Virginia R. Behrens of Kent, WA; daughters, Delphine Stam (Jerry) of Maple Valley, WA and Rebecca S. Riggs (Grant) of Covington, WA; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Behrens; grandson, Randy Behrens; brother, Orval Behrens and sister, Marion Swan. All are invited to Vernon’s Military Honors 12:30 PM Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
