It is with great sadness that the family of Robert D. “Rob” Harnden announces his unexpected passing on February 12, 2018 in Kent, Washington at the age of 32.
Rob is survived by his parents, Cindy and Steve Hubbard of Kent, WA; siblings, Casey Miller of Roy, WA, Tom Hubbard of Anchorage, AK, Sheila Hubbard of Renton, WA, and Jeff Harnden of Camano Island, WA; his grandmother and grandfather, Karol and Harlan Medack of Kelso, WA; and nephew Easton Miller of Roy, WA. He is also survived by his uncles, Dave Medack, Doug Medack and Dan Medack, all of Kelso, WA, his aunt, Diane Jackels, and his uncle, Jim Harnden, both of Camano Island, WA.
Rob was born on May 13, 1985 in Lewisville, TX and moved to Washington State in 1989. He attended Kentridge High School in Kent, WA and completed the Carpenters Apprentice Program at Renton Technical College and Washington State UBC JATC in 2011. As a journeyman carpenter, Rob worked for The Conco Companies working on projects throughout the greater Seattle area. He loved his work and his fellow employees. He often times took less experienced co-workers under his wing and assisted in their learning of the trade.
Rob was a fun loving, generous individual with a big heart. He loved all things Seattle. He loved to explore new restaurants and food and had a passion for cooking for his friends and family.
Rob’s memorial service was held on February 24, 2018 at Marlatt Funeral Home, Kent, WA. Rob’s ashes were interred at Greenwood Cemetery in Renton, WA.
