Patricia Ann Colley Jones
Patricia Jones, age 69, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2013, surrounded by her family in Graham, Washington.
Patty was born in Pasco, Washington on April 7, 1944, the third of five children of Marion and Martha Colley. She grew up on a wheat ranch in Connell, Washington and graduated from Connell High School in 1962. A week after graduation, Patty married her high school sweetheart, David Jones. They soon moved to Kent, Washington where they raised their two children, Kristy and Robert.
Patty was busy in the Kent community. She taught Sunday School at the United Methodist Church, was a Camp Fire leader for 12 years, and served as a Den Mother for Cub Scouts.
After raising her children, Patty went back to school and earned her AA in Nursing from Highline Community College and then her BS in Nursing from Seattle Pacific University. She worked at Valley Medical Center for 17 years before retiring in 2001.
Patty loved spending time with her family, traveling, and Bible study. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed hunting for antiques.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Douglas and David. She is survived by her husband, David, daughter, Kristy (Jim) Grob, son, Robert (Pamela) Jones and five grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Marilyn (Chuck) Actor, brother, Tim (Faye) Colley, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Graham Emmanuel Baptist Church at 1 pm. Memorials may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association or Franciscan Hospice.
