Merton L. Vincent
Merton L. Vincent, born December 19, 1941 and died on October
22, 2008 in Phoenix, Arizona, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was a long time resident of the Kent, Auburn, Eastside areas.
He retired from The Boeing Company in 1999 after 27 years. He was
an engineer and manager on the B-2, International Space Station,
Commercial Avionics Systems, E4B Command Post, and numerous
research programs. After retirement, he stayed active in engineering
with SARA (Scientific Applications and Research Associates). He
loved golfing, backpacking, and doing church work. He was a member
of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and led a group of people to India
where they were responsible for building two churches and making
lots of friends. He sleeps until the resurrection where he will be united
with his loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; a daughter, Noreen Jenkins and
son-in-law, Allen of Phoenix, AZ; a son, Brian Vincent and daughterin-
law, Oksana of Honolulu, HI; two grandsons, Jaden and Jordan
Jenkins of Phoenix; a brother, Mervin Vincent and sister-in-law, Sharon
of Kent, WA; a sister, Gail and brother-in-law Ron McDonald
of Swartz Creek, MI; and a stepmother, Jennie Hendricks Vincent of
Fenton, MI; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Memorial gifts can be made to Layman Ministries, 414 Zapada
Road, St. Maries, ID for work in Tamil Nadu, India, care of Dr. S.
