Lucille E. Freeman
Born in Westport, Connecticut on August 22, 1918 to Edna M. and Oscar A. Bendtzen. Graduated from Staples High School in Westport, CT in June 1936. Married to G. Damon Freeman on August 27, 1942. Preceded in death by husband in December 1994, her sister Jan, and her brother Robert. Died December 8, 2010. Lucille is survived by daughter Judy Rustik of Kent, Washington, son Bruce Freeman (Amy) of Whiting, New Jersey, brother William Bendtzen of Westport, Ct., 4 grandchildren—Steven Rustik (Tama), Michael Rustik (Diane), Dawn Freeman, Brian Freeman, and 5 great grandchildren—Bradley Rustik, Alyssa Rustik, Courtney Rustik, John Rustik and Chelsea Rustik. She is also survived by Christina Rustik and many nieces and nephews. Lou moved to Kent, Washington from Florida in October 1997 and has been a resident of the Gowe Court Apartments. She was a 50 year member of Lady Martha Chapter #103, Monroe, CT and a member of Tab’Itha Temple #135, Daughters of the Nile in Fort Myers, Florida. I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright sunny days.
