Henrik Olaf Sortun
Henrik Olaf Sortun, 91, dad, bestefar, husband, uncle, brother, and friend, died peacefully on August 31, 2014 at his home on Lake Meridian in Kent, WA.
He lived a long, fulfilling, and deeply influential life. From the time he arrived in America at the age of seven from his beloved Norway, Henrik lived a life filled with optimism, hard work, and playfulness. Faith, family, friends, and service with Kiwanis Club, Key Club, and SKCAC Industries and Employment Services were his passions. He also loved Husky football, golf, and the chance to dance.
Family would like to thank the Providence Hospice staff and private caregivers Nancy, Idelle, Carol, and John. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SKCAC at www.skcac.com.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on September 19, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church, 25105 132nd Ave. SE, Kent, WA.
