Gayle Marie McGuire

Gayle passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on August 25, 2010 after a three year battle with lymphoma. Beloved Wife, Mom, Grandma and friend, she will be deeply missed. Gayle was born in Malta, MT on June 17, 1930. She was the daughter of George and Amanda Murphy. She grew up in Miles City, MT. In 1955, she married Jack McGuire, and they moved to Renton, WA to start a family. Family meant everything to Gayle. She enjoyed all the activities her three children were involved in growing up… particularly watching her sons, Curt and Scott, play baseball. Her greatest joy was her five grandsons. She followed all their activities…baseball, basketball, football, karate and many nights out of every week (all year long) you would find her at their games. She truly enjoyed being with her grandsons and watching them grow up throughout the years. Gayle was happiest when surrounded by her family and involved in anything they enjoyed. She was our “biggest fan”! Gayle is survived by her husband Jack, her children Lori Dersch and husband Chris, Curt, Scott and wife Robin, her five grandsons, Tyler and Conner (Dersch), Cash, Reese and Shane (McGuire) and a niece, Judy Schantz (husband CB, children Casey, Travis, Chelsi), nephew, Paul Braut (wife Judi, children John, Jennifer), and an Aunt, Doris Robinson (Ross). Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, George and Amanda Murphy and her sister Gladys Braut.A memorial service will be held at Marlatt Funeral home. Details may be found at: www.marlattfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to any of the following: Kent Little League Baseball at P.O. Box 5411, Kent, WA 98064, or Regional Animal Services at http://www.kingcounty.gov/safety/regionalAnimalServices.aspx or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at http://www.leukemia-lymphoma.org/hm_lls
