Frances Tamiko Grangruth was born on February 28, 1921 in Auburn, Washington and passed away peacefully at home on the morning of March 10, 2017 in Kent, Washington.
Frances loved to have family and friends over for dinner. Holidays and casual group gatherings, she always loved to please people and had a smile for all. Her generosity and sincere personality was her strong traits and made everyone that she met feel accepted and wanted to be around her. She loved to play bingo and to go to casinos to try her luck of winning and was happy for just the entertainment whether she won or not. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting making numerous blankets and outfits for family and friends. She will be dearly missed and was loved by everyone.
Frances is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Willard “Willy” and her loving children Kenneth Kajita (Norma) of Ocean Shores, Richard Kajita (Lisa), Debra Lanway (Dean), and Timothy Grangruth of Kent, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Doris Sagara of Auburn and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her “Celebration of Life” will be held on Saturday, May 20th at the home residence – 26301 143rd Ave SE Kent, WA 98042 from 1 pm-5 pm. Any and all family and friends are invited to attend.
