Floyd A. Shafer
Floyd A. Shafer, age 68, died Monday,January 19, 2009 in Pacific, WA. Floyd was born on April 5, 1940 in Seattle; the son of Leo M. Shafer and Helen R. Davis.Floyd served in both the U.S. Army and in the U.S. Air Force Decorations/Medals include: Expert (Rifle), Marksman (Carbine), Good Conduct Metal, and Purple Heart. After serving his country, Floyd worked and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.Floyd is survived by his three brothers, Thoren, John and Vance; by his two sons, James and Brian;by his daughter Carol and daughter-in-law, Leah; by his seven grand-children, DeShion, Allen, Alicia, Danielle, Randall, Brian and Drako and by his great-grandchild Ariana. Floyd was also survived by many friends who loved him.After Floyd’s passing he was cremated per his wishes and will behonored with a military burial on January 30 at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 Southeast 240th St, Kent at 1:30 p.m. Remembrances suggested to the American Heart Association, 710 2nd Ave, Suite 900, Seattle, WA 98104.177616
