It is with great sadness that the family of Donald (Don) Eugene Gallaher Jr., of Kent, Wa, announces his passing on October 18, 2019 at the age of 79 years.
Don was born in Logan, Iowa to Donald Eugene Gallaher Sr. & Eleanor Delight Gallaher. His family moved to Wenatchee, Wa when he was six years old. He graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1958 & married his wife Peggy in 1968. They celebrated 51 years of marriage before her passing earlier this year.
Cars were his passion & he could tell you anything you needed to know about any car. In his 20’s Don won many trophies drag racing his 1966 Nova. When he stopped drag racing, he enjoyed custom cars & attending car shows in his spare time. He was an avid reader, sometimes reading a book a day. He was friendly, outgoing & always prepared with a funny one liner for every situation. One of his favorite things to do was go out for a hamburger with family or friends.
Don will be lovingly remembered & missed by his children Trina Gallaher & Bobby Gallaher, his sisters Joan Hicks, Jean Glenn & Dorothy “Mickey” Wheldon. Don will be fondly remembered by many including numerous family & friends.
Don’s family would like to thank all of the family, friends & neighbors for their support this year.
A celebration of Don’s life will be held at Hillcrest Burial Park in Kent, Wa, (1005 Reiten Rd) on Monday, November 4th, 2019 at 11am.
