Darlene Joyce Allen was born on January 13, 1933 in Loup City, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2017 in Seattle, Washington.
Darlene loved to sing, she loved music and was a pianist, Blue Bird and Camp Fire Leader, Teacher, business owner, Wedding Coordinator, a member of the First Christian Church of Kent, volunteer for the Homeless, and a people-person who loved unconditionally. Darlene delighted all with her creativity of holiday décor.
Darlene was preceded in death by two of her children: David Henry Allen, 1963 and Rebecca “Becky” Coleman, 2000. She is survived by her loving children Tana M. Daniel & wife Nina Bus of Bothell, Janet Schumacher of Enumclaw, sons Scott Allen of Marysville, and Doug Allen & wife Sherri of Kent, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Darlene has two sisters: June Marie Gibson, Louisville, KY, and Jackie Lee Richards, Lynnwood, WA.
Services will be held on March 4, 2017 at the First Christian Church of Kent 11717 SE 240th St. Kent, WA 98030 from 2pm-6 pm. Any and all are invited to attend. If you would like to make a donation to her charity of choice, please contact the American Cancer Society.
