Beverly “Bev” Martin of Kent, WA, passed away in her home on October 5, 2018 at the age of 72 after a hard-fought battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.
Bev was born in Hibbing, Minnesota on September 21, 1946. She was the oldest of five siblings. Bev was married to husband, Eugene Martin, for 50 years. After moving to Kent in 1968, Bev worked as a church secretary and then as a bookkeeper. In retirement, she loved traveling, volunteering at church, and especially spending time with her four granddaughters.
Bev is survived by her husband Eugene Martin, son John Martin, daughter Jill Gutierrez; and granddaughters Anya, Grace, Julia, and Ava. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Helen Hendrickson, and by her sister Barbara Glavan.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service and reception Friday, October 19 at 3:00 p.m. at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 23810 112th Ave SE, Kent, WA 98031. A private interment will follow at Tahoma National Cemetery.
