Arthur Glen Walden
Arthur Glen Walden passed away on March 17, 2010. He was born on March 10, 1931 in Port Orchard, WA to Arthur Earl Walden and Elizabeth Ellen (Hodge) and grew up in Olympia. Glen is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Karolyn Jean (Langford); three daughters – Laura Anderson, Krista Nelson and Kaylie Streibel; ten grandchildren – Michael, Christopher, Jacob, Caroline, Sara, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Anna, Victoria, and Sam; and two great-grandchildren – Rowan and Ava.He is preceded in death by his brother John (Jack) Walden and grandson Jeremy Anderson.Glen graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington in 1954 and was a member of Theta Delta Chi fraternity. He honorably served his country in the Air Force for two years achieving the rank of Captain. Glen worked at Boeing from 1956 to 1992 planning major projects as a Test Engineer. Besides his sweetheart, Glen’s second passion was driving and restoring vintage Jaguars. He was a long time member of The Jaguar Driver’s Club of N.W. America, Valley Opera Guild, Puget Sound Jazz Society and supporter of the LeMay Car Museum. Glen was an active volunteer with the Boeing Blue Bills and Washington State History Museum.Service will be held Saturday March 27 at 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Star Lake Chapel, 28616 48th Av. S., Auburn, WA 98001. Donations can be made to the Tourette Syndrome Association or the LeMay Automobile Museum Building Fund. Glen was a man of patience, honesty and tenderness.
