Alfreda Mae (Nee Davis) Murphy
1924 ~ 2011
Alfreda Mae Murphy was granted her Angel wings on Saturday, January 22, 2011. Her final days were spent surrounded by her beloved family. Alfreda is survived by her loving husband Ellsworth, son Michael, daughters Pam (Lino) Endrizzi and Angela (John) Guile, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Alfreda was born on May 14, 1924 in Yakima Washington, daughter to Mary and Charles Davis. She met the love of her life, Ellsworth Murphy, at Church when she was a young girl of sixteen. One year and one day later on March 23, 1941 they were happily married. Many may recall Alfreda teaching Sunday School at Berrydale Grange Hall at Kent Meridian. The Davis family built and ran the Hall for many years. In 1963 Alfreda and Ellsworth opened Murphy’s Sun Valley Ranch in Revelstoke where they forged many wonderful, long lasting friendships. A Funeral service was held to celebrate Alfreda’s life at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2165 Parkcrest Avenue in Kamloops BC, on Saturday, January 29th, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. Following the reception, Alfreda was laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery.
