King County opens isolation center at Auburn Clarion Hotel

To limit the spread of COVID-19 for those who cannot safely isolate themselves

To limit the spread of COVID-19, King County opened the Clarion Hotel in Auburn as a quarantine and isolation center while omicron cases surge throughout the area.

The hotel, 9 16th Street NW, was purchased by the county in 2021 as part of the Health Through Housing program, which provides housing for people experiencing homelessness.

The isolation and quarantine site offers 100 private rooms for people to quarantine and isolate if they are infected with COVID-19. The center is for people who can’t safely isolate themselves from roommates or family members.

The center is free and has 24-hour security and health services available for the people quarantining in the center.

The center will operate as a quarantine center until it is no longer needed, at which point it will be returned to Health Through Housing, according to the county.

To access the quarantine services, call the King County COVID-19 Call Center at 206-477-3977 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily to learn more.

As of Jan. 5, King County is averaging 2,477 new cases of COVID-19 every day. There are 26 daily new hospitalizations due to COVID-19 in King County and one daily death, according to the King County COVID-19 dashboard.
