The two suspects reportedly stole several items from employees and customers on Jan. 18

Federal Way Police are searching for two suspects who robbed employees and customers at a Federal Way nail salon at gunpoint.

At about 2:44 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, two male suspects robbed the Perfect Nails and Spa near the 2100 block of SW 336th Street, according to a Federal Way Police report.

Upon entering the nail salon, one suspect fired several rounds into the ceiling. The suspects stole the employees and customers purses, wallets, watches, cash and cellphones before fleeing the salon, the report states.

A woman who was getting a manicure at the nail salon told police she saw the two gunmen walked in and she heard a loud “boom,” then realized it was a gun. Her iPhone was stolen by one of the suspects, but the suspect dropped it as they were leaving the salon, the report states.

None of the customers or employees were injured.

The two suspects fled in a gray Jeep Compass with Oregon plates which was a rental vehicle stolen out of Tacoma. The vehicle was last seen driving westbound on SW 336th Street.

The police report states the main suspect appears to be a Hispanic or Pacific Islander male wearing a black hoodie and black shorts. Second suspect was wearing a white hoodie with a red knit cap and black pants. Both suspects were wearing masks.

Video surveillance shows the first suspect entered the nearby pho restaurant before shortly leaving and talking to someone in the passenger seat of the parked Jeep, then getting into the drivers seat. A few minutes later, both suspects exit the vehicle with their hoods up and masks on, the police report states. Video footage shows the two suspects walking into the nail salon and fleeing approximately a minute later.

Anyone with information on the suspects or the stolen vehicle should contact Federal Way Police at 253-835-2121.
