A shooting in Renton resulted in injury to a man on Monday, Sept. 4.
Officers dispatched at approximately 2:10 p.m. to a shooting in the area of the 2300 block of Northeast Fourth Street.
Upon arrival, they contacted a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. The victim advised officers that a subject approached and shot him mid-altercation with a second subject.
Police have no knowledge whether the victim knew either subject as of Sept. 5, according to the department.
According to the department, both suspects fled the location in a Chevy Camaro, as described to police.
“We have no information as to why the victim and suspects had an altercation (and) why the victim was shot by one of the suspects,” said Cyndie Morris, communications and engagement officer for the Renton Police Department.
Investigation into the shooting continues.
