Nineteen Kent and Covington residents made the dean’s list at Seattle Pacific University for academic achievement autumn quarter 2007. Locals make SPU list

Nineteen Kent and Covington residents made the dean’s list at Seattle Pacific University for academic achievement autumn quarter 2007. The following local students were on the list: Brian Boldman, Bryn Bowser, Alyssa Chavez, Heather Cozad, Danielle Darrow, Bethany Douglass, Nazariy Gural, Katrina Harper, Kirstin Heckelsmiller, Rachel Jacobs, Bonnie Kirkwood, Daria Li, Johrdashe Loeber, May Marston, Larita Nunnery, Taylor Powers, Lindsay Roos, Brianna Scarff and Tasha Treat.

Students on the dean’s list must take at least 12 credits and attain a 3.5 or higher grade point average.

KSD forum coming up

A Kent School District “Second Monday” forum will take place 6:30-8 p.m. April 16 in the Kent School District Administration Center Board Room.

Sponsored by the district and the Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities Advisory Council, the forum will teach information about keeping children and teens safe from the newest drug trends. Speakers at the session will highlight the risks facing young people and describe the protection that individuals and communities can offer. The forum is free. The KSD Administration Center is located at 12033 S.E. 256th St. in Kent. Information: 253-373-7235.
