The Kent Downtown Partnership presented a Zombie Walk through the Kent Historic District on Saturday, with participants visiting merchants in an effort to promote business while exploring a special part of the city.
The walk began on First Avenue in the Pocket Park, next to Spiro’s Greek Island Restaurant, and looped through the historical district, to Kent Station and wound back at First Avenue at Down Home Catering.
Prizes were awarded for best costumes.
For Kent’s Lily Wilson, the event was a natural fit for her skills. She is a professional makeup artist.
“I live just live a couple of blocks away,” she said. “This was fun.”
