King County residents still have an opportunity to register to vote in time for the April 27 election.

Monday, April 19 is the deadline for in-person voter registration at the Elections Department – Tukwila location office for persons residing in King County who are not already registered to vote in Washington.

If you moved to another county within Washington state, you must submit an online or paper voter registration application to that county.

Who can vote?

To be eligible to vote in the King County primary, you must be:

· Eighteen years old by April 27;

· A United States citizen;

· A resident of King County

How to register to vote

Registering to vote is easy– visit www.king county.gov/elections and register online or print and complete a registration form and mail it to King County Elections. Voter registration applications and updates submitted after the April 19 voter registration deadline will take effect after the April 27, 2010 special election. Mail-in voter registrations are available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Cambodian, Korean, Laotian, Russian, and Vietnamese.

Registered voters who have not yet received their ballot in the mail should contact Elections.
