Kent Police are trying to identify a woman and circumstances surrounding her death after her body was discovered Thursday, Jan. 13 in Mill Creek Canyon Earthworks Park along Canyon Drive.
Officers responded at about 11:30 a.m. after witnesses found a body while walking in the park, according to a Jan. 14 Kent Police statement.
The woman is Caucasian, about 5 feet 4 inches tall and approximately 170 pounds, according to police. Police did not release an estimated age of the woman.
Detectives and the King County Medical Examiner’s Office are working to identify the woman and her cause of death.
Puget Sound Fire assisted with the recovery of the woman and first reported Thursday that a body was found near Canyon Drive.
