Woman punches Kent man for sleeping with other women | Police Blotter

Kent Police arrested a woman for investigation of fourth-degree assault after she reportedly punched and scratched a former boyfriend in the face for allegedly sleeping with other women.

The man reported the assault at about 2:41 a.m. on Feb. 5 in the 23600 block of 104th Avenue Southeast, according to the police report. Officers noted the man had bloody scratches on his face.

The man told officers he had dated the woman for about six months prior to breaking up about a year ago. He said she had stalked him ever since, even showing up at his job and accusing him of sleeping with other women.

On Feb. 5, the woman followed the man home and confronted him outside of his house. She yelled at him about other women and hit him in the face before fleeing.

The woman lives in Federal Way, so Kent Police asked Federal Way officers to check the woman’s address and to arrest her if she was at home. Federal Way officers arrested the woman and turned her over to Kent Police.

The woman told officers she had confronted the man for cheating on her with other women.

Officers catch running man

Officers arrested a man for investigation of giving a false name and obstructing an officer after he tried running from police on Feb. 6 in the 24100 block of 98th Avenue South.

An officer grabbed the man as he tried to climb a railing to get away after a short pursuit on foot, according to the police report.

An officer saw the man walking from a house known by police to be associated with criminal activity. The officer pulled his vehicle up to the man and asked him how he was doing. The man replied he was walking to Fred Meyer.

When the officer asked him for his name, the man reportedly gave a false name and then ran from the officer. A second officer caught the man, who had warrants for failing to appear on DUI charges in Renton and Pierce County.

Man caught with drugs

Officers cited and released a man for investigation of possession of drug paraphernalia after reportedly finding him inside of a vehicle using drugs at about 9:05 a.m. on Feb. 6 in a parking lot in the 1200 block of Central Avenue North.

A 911 caller reported possible drug use going on inside the vehicle, according to the police report.

An officer walked up to the vehicle’s driver-side window and saw three people inside the car. The driver said they were just sitting there. But the officer saw a cigar wrapper and a glass pipe inside. The officer noted people will remove the core of a cigar and fill it with meth or other drugs to smoke.

A passenger admitted to having a bag of meth on him.
