Woman exposes herself to Kent motorists | Police Blotter

Drivers along Central Avenue South in Kent came across an unexpected view earlier this month.

Officers arrested a woman for investigation of indecent exposure after the woman reportedly lifted up her clothing and exposed her breasts to motorists on the afternoon of Jan. 20 in the 1700 block of Central Avenue South, according to the police report.

Police responded to a 911 call about a woman flashing her breasts at passing motorists and asking for money. An officer saw the woman intentionally lift her clothing. A witness told officers he was alarmed and freaked out after the woman flashed him.

“I have never encountered this before, I was in shock,” the man said.

After officers arrived, the woman pulled down her pants and mesh skirt and exposed herself to police. Officers also arrested the woman for investigation of second-degree criminal trespass. She had been trespassed from Cowgirls Espresso, 1734 Central Ave. S., for a similar incident on Sept. 27.

Man speeds, crashes car

Police arrested a man for investigation of reckless driving after he reportedly lost control of his car and crashed while racing at about 1:23 a.m. on Jan. 21, in the 6100 block of South 228th Street.

Officers responded to 911 calls and found an Acura RSX in the street with damage to the front end, according to the police report. A nearby tree had been sheared off its base. Officers noted the area is known for illegal street racing.

The driver told police he had been going 50-60 mph (in a 35 mph zone) while racing co-workers eastbound on South 228th Street when he moved into the left lane from the right lane to cut off another vehicle. He said he was about to hit the median so he made a sharp turn to the right, went across the eastbound lanes and hit a curb.

The car then went up onto the median and struck a couple of trees. Nobody was injured.

Man caught with drugs

Officers arrested a man for investigation of possession of drug paraphernalia after spotting the man at about 9:48 p.m. on Jan. 22, in an empty parking lot in the 24200 block of 104th Avenue Southeast.

An officer on patrol checked out the parking lot behind Midas Muffler because it is an area known to be used by narcotics users since it is hidden from the roadway, according to the police report.

As the officer shined his vehicle spotlight in the parking lot, he spotted a man who stood up and began to move away from the building. The officer stopped the man and asked him what he was doing.

The man replied he was going to take a shower, but the officer noted there are no showers in the area. The man reportedly had constricted pupils and delayed speech, according to the officer who believed the man to be under the influence of drugs.

Officers searched the man and found a hypodermic needle in his pocket. The needle had residue that appeared to be from meth or heroin. The man also had a glass pipe and a plastic baggie with contents that later tested positive for meth.

Man drives stolen car

Police arrested a man for investigation of stealing a car after an officer saw a man driving a vehicle with no lights on and no front license plate at about midnight on Jan. 23 in the Days Inn motel parking lot, 22420 84th Ave. S.

The officer followed the car for a short distance before the driver parked it in the motel lot, according to the police report. Two men walked out of the vehicle. The man who police saw behind the wheel denied driving the car.

Police determined from the vehicle’s ID number that the 1998 Honda Civic had been stolen earlier in the month in Kent. The car also had a stolen license plate on it from another vehicle.

Officers also found tin foil with heroin on it inside the vehicle and arrested the driver for investigation of possession of drug paraphernalia.
