A 42-year-old Federal Way woman died in a two-vehicle crash Sunday, Feb. 5 in the 18100 block of West Valley Highway in Tukwila, just north of the city of Kent border.
Tristan M. Smith died from multiple blunt force injuries, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Puget Sound Fire responded at about 2:31 p.m. Firefighters found the crash involved a box truck and a car, according to a Puget Sound Fire email. The car had sustained significant damage. Firefighters found the car’s driver dead at the scene.
Tukwila Police shut down the West Valley Highway for several hours to investigate the crash, which was just south of South 180th Street. Renton Regional Fire Authority and King County Medic One also responded to the incident.
A Tukwila Police spokesperson said that Smith was from Federal Way. He said the male driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.
