The National Weather Service predicts a windstorm will join the snowstorm on Friday evening through Sunday morning, including speeds of 35 to 40 mph in Kent.
The above graphic released Thursday afternoon from the weather service describes what could hit Kent and the rest of the Puget Sound region. A snowstorm with 4 to 6 inches also is predicted to hit Kent.
Winds will be strong enough to cause power outages and tree damage, according to the weather service. The winds also will will produce areas of blowing and drifting snow.
