The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is coming to Kent Station on Friday, April 30 to help promote the need for people to donate blood.
The 27-foot long hot dog on wheels will be at the shopping center, 438 Ramsay Way, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kent Station has had ongoing pop up blood drives in partnership with Bloodworks Northwest.
“Having the Wienermobile come to Kent Station will be such a fun way to keep spreading the word about how much blood donations are needed,” said Cynthia Boyd, Kent Station marketing manager.
Oscar Mayer staff encourages people to come take pictures, meat the Hotdoggers who drive this coast-to-coast wiener roast, take a peak under the bun and make sure you don’t leave without an iconic Wiener Whistle. The West Team drivers feature the nicknames of Tommy Salami and Niener Wiener. Although the Wienermobile promotes Oscar Mayer products, no food is served.
Kent Mayor Dana Ralph and Police Chief Rafael Padilla plan to stop by to welcome the Wienermobile to town.
