The Washington Healthplanfinder mobile enrollment tour – a specially outfitted trailer, complete with laptops connected to the new health care system – is traveling throughout Washington.
The tour comes to valley on Saturday, appearing at the Kent Memorial Park Building, 850 Central Ave. N., for an enrollment event from 2 to 5 p.m.
Guest speakers include: Richard Onizuka, CEO, Washington Health Benefit Exchange; David Fleming, director and Health Officer, Public Health – Seattle & King County; state Sen. Karen Keiser (D-Kent); and King County Councilmember Julia Patterson.
At the stops in King County, trained enrollment experts from local lead organization Public Health – Seattle & King County and their community partners will be onsite to answer questions about the new health plans available and financial help, as well as assist people in signing up for health coverage.
The public is welcome to ask questions and learn about the new health plans. In order to enroll, individuals will need to know their birth date, Social Security number, and income. Legal immigrants will need to supply a passport, alien, or other immigration numbers. Assistance will be available in Spanish and several other languages.
