A vehicle struck and killed a 35-year-old woman on the East Hill in Kent as she was walking in the roadway at about 3:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6.
Jennifer Ann Dufendach died of multiple blunt force injuries, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office Sept. 9 report, which listed the manner of death as undetermined.
Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle in the 27000 block of 124th Avenue SE, according to a Kent Police news release.
Initial reports indicate Dufendach was walking in the roadway when she was struck, according to police. Medics attempted lifesaving efforts, but Dufendach did not survive. The adult driver remained on scene and there are not any current indicators of impairment from the driver, according to police.
Investigators closed the road to process the collision scene.
