A 37-year-old Kent woman suffered serious injuries to her legs after she was struck by a vehicle Saturday night while crossing in the 23400 block of 104th Avenue Southeast.
At about 9:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision, according to a Tuesday email from Kent Police Cmdr. Robert Hollis. Officers found the woman in the roadway with serious injuries to her legs.
The vehicle’s driver, a 25-year-old Auburn woman, stayed on the scene after the collision.
“Field sobriety tests were performed, but at this time it does not appear there was any impairment,” Hollis said. “The investigation shows the driver was northbound on 104th Avenue SE. The pedestrian was wearing dark clothing and crossing mid-block.”
Paramedics transported the Kent woman to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The collision remains under investigation.
