The Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) crossing arms are stuck in the down position at Willis, Smith and Meeker Street crossings, according to a city of Kent email early Tuesday afternoon.
The UPRR has been notified, but city staff does not have an estimate of when UP will have the crossings restored. To get around the congestion use James Street or either the South 277th or 228th Street Corridors.
City officials remind drivers that it is never okay to go around down crossing arms.
You can contact Union Pacific Railroad at 800-848-8715.
