Two men stabbed and injured each other during a dispute at about 10:55 a.m. Tuesday on the West Hill near the intersection of Kent Des Moines Road and Pacific Highway South.
Preliminary reports indicate that a Hispanic man approached a black man at the bus stop near the intersection, according to a Kent Police media release. The Hispanic man stabbed the black man with an unknown object and ran.
The black man then chased the Hispanic man around the businesses in the area and into the roadway and oncoming traffic. He caught up to the man and a physical altercation ensued, at which time the black man stabbed the Hispanic man.
Both men suffered injuries and paramedics transported them to the hospital. No updates were available about the conditions of the two men, police said.
Police are trying to determine the relationship between the two men and the reasons for the dispute. Police are interviewing witnesses and following up on other leads.
