Kent Police are still trying to figure out what happened during a dispute Monday evening on the West Hill that left one man with a gunshot wound and another man with a stab wound.
The incident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. in the 24000 block of Pacific Highway South, said Kent Police spokeswoman Melanie Robinson in a Tuesday email.
“Preliminary information is that there was a robbery attempt where one male received a non-life threatening gunshot wound and another male received a non-life threatening laceration,” Robinson said.
The men were taken to hospitals to be treated. Detectives have interviewed the two males and are in the process of determining the sequence of events that led up to their injuries. No arrests have been made, Robinson said.
Robinson said one man is 17 years old and from Federal Way and the other man is 22 years old with an unknown home address.
Robinson said she could not release which man was shot and which one was stabbed.
“Unfortunately, it will potentially compromise the investigation for reasons I cannot state at the moment,” she said. “I am hoping that by tomorrow additional details can be released.”
