Residents can discuss future transportation options and financing during a Town Hall meeting Thursday, hosted by Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke and King County Councilwoman Julia Patterson. The event runs 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Kent Senior Activity Center, 600 E. Smith St.
The Puget Sound Regional Council is updating its regional transportation plan. Known as Transportation 2040, the plan will evaluate the best transportation options for the region, while making communities, the environment and the economy stronger as the area grows over the next 30 years. The plan is slated for adoption in 2010.
