The following Kent students are top placers at the Green River Music Education Association’s Solo and Ensemble Competitions in band, orchestra, voice and piano. The region includes Kent, Auburn and Enumclaw School Districts.
Winners will compete against students from all over Washington state at the State Solo and Ensemble Competition in Ellensburg April 23-24.
The WIAA/WMEA State Solo and Ensemble Contest is presented in Ellensburg the last Friday and Saturday in April each year. The event provides the opportunity for the best of Washington’s high school music students to hear each other in a competitive situation.This event is always held on the last Friday and Saturday in April, with small ensembles participating on Friday morning, large ensembles Friday afternoon and solos all day Saturday.
