The Kent Police issued notifications Friday regarding three sex offenders who have relocated to the downtown area of Kent.
All three men have served their time and are not wanted by police, nor is it legal to target them for abuse, as this could potentially end law enforcement’s ability to to do community notifications.
There are three levels of sex offenders, with Level 3 considered the highest risk to reoffend.
The three sex offenders most recently identified by Kent Police are:
• Eugene “Rufus” Anderson, Level 3: Age 45, living on East Russell Street. Anderson stands 5 feet, 11 inches, weighs 155 pounds and is African-American. His additional criminal convictions include failure to register as a sex offender and felony drug possession. He participated in treatment and is under supervision.

He was convicted of second-degree rape in 1996 in King Couny. His victim was a 13-year-old girl, to whom he was a stranger. His additional criminal conviction was assault. He participated in treatment, but is not under supervision.
• Jeremy Ross Baxley, Level 2: Age 29, living on Clark Avenue North. Baxley stands 5 feet, 7 inches, weighs 179 pounds and is Caucasian.
