Three people were injured after their car crashed into a tree at about 10:30 p.m. on Monday in the 23700 block of 64th Avenue South after a short pursuit by Kent Police.
Officers located an occupied stolen vehicle near the intersection of 64th Avenue South and South 212th Street, according to a media release. Police tried to make a traffic stop on the vehicle which fled on 64th Avenue South.
After a brief pursuit, the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a tree. Police identified the driver as a 25-year-old Redmond man. Three people were in the vehicle. Police did not identify the two passengers. Paramedics transported all three with serious injuries to a hospital.
Police closed 64th Avenue South between South 236th Street and West James Street to investigate the crash.
