Thousands of bicyclists will head through Kent on Saturday morning as part of the 33rd annual Group Health Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic.

Riders will have a food stop 24 miles into the 200-mile ride at REI Corp., in Kent, just off the West Valley Highway at South 228th Street. Riders will arrive at REI between 5:45 and 9:30 a.m.

As many as 10,000 riders are expected to take part in the ride, considered the largest multi-day ride in the Pacific Northwest. The route is marked with directional arrows and leads riders through Kent along the West Valley Highway.

Riders start between 4:45 and 7:25 a.m. at the University of Washington. They enter Kent at 80th Avenue South, go west on South 196th Street and then south on the West Valley Highway, also known as 68th Avenue South. Some riders complete the course in one day while others take two days.
