Parents and their teen-age children are invited to participate in a community conversation about the dangers of alcohol and prescription-drug use.
The free event runs from 6-8 p.m. May 6 at the Kent Senior Activity Center, 600 E. Smith St., and includes dinner.
The event is hosted by the Kent Police Department and the Kent Drug-Free Coalition.
Program material is age-appropriate for middle school and high school students. Childcare will be provided for elementary students and younger children.
Space is limited. People interested in the program should register by April 30. To register, e-mail Stacy Judd in the Kent Police Department at sjudd@ci.kent.wa.us.
