You can satisfy your golfing bug during a day of free golf activities April 18 at Kent’s Riverbend Golf Complex. The event, titled “PGA Play Golf America Day,” runs 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The event is designed to provide free, expert instruction to golfers of all ages and skill levels, introduce new golfers to the game and provide equipment testing from the best brands in golf today.
12 PGA professionals from throughout the Pacific Northwest, including First Swing Clinics for beginners, will provide 15-minute tune-ups and demonstrations on all facets of the game regardless of skill level.
“The PGA Play Golf America Day will be a terrific golf experience for players of all levels,” said Jeff Ellison, executive director, Pacific Northwest PGA. “From avid golf enthusiasts to newcomers to the game, this event will provide a fun-filled atmosphere that combines instruction, product testing, skills contests and some great golf giveaways.”
Representatives from leading equipment manufacturers, including Adams, Callaway, Cleveland, Cobra, Mizuno, Nickent, Nike, Ping, TaylorMade, Titleist, Top-Flite and Tour Edge will be available to provide hands-on testing, club fitting and product information.
Attendees can learn about golf-participation programs that are part of the Play Golf America initiative, including First Swing, Link Up 2 Golf, PGA Free Lesson Month, Women’s Golf Week, July is Family Golf Month, Take Your Daughter to the Course and Bring Your Kids to the Range.
The event also features representatives from the PGA Trade-In Network, a program where golfers can trade in golf clubs for credit toward the purchase of new equipment from the Riverbend Discount Golf Center.
