The Seattle Thunderbirds has traded right wing Sam Mckechnie to the Saskatoon Blades for a conditional sixth-round selection in the 2015 Bantam Draft, general manager Russ Farwell announced today.
Mckechnie played 67 games for the T-Birds last season and had seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points with 50 penalty minutes.
In 212 career games with the T-Birds and Lethbridge Hurricanes over four seasons, Mckechnie has 46 goals and 46 assists for 92 points with 144 career penalty minutes.
Mckechnie was originally acquired from the Lethbridge Hurricanes with Jaimen Yakubowski on October 24, 2013 for Riley Sheen, Carter Folk and a third-round pick in the 2015 Bantam Draft.
The T-Birds travel to Kennewick on Friday to take on the Tri-City Americans at Toyota Center at 7:05 p.m.
