If you want to be a Washington State Patrol trooper, look for State Patrol recruiters Tuesday, Nov. 22 at a Kent job fair.
The State Patrol will have a booth at the Help Identify Real Employment for American Jobs Fair that runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the ShoWare Center, 625 W. James St.
If you’d like to be one of only 60 cadets in the Washington State Patrol’s 100th Trooper Basic Training Class, you’ll need to test soon, according to a State Patrol media release. The class begins next fall, and there are many steps in the application and hiring process.
People interested in joining the State Patrol can pick up an application at the job fair and then take part in a physical fitness and written test at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Washington State Patrol Academy, 631 W. Dayton Airport Road in Shelton.
Mail in your application or just bring it with you. When you come, please wear appropriate attire and bring athletic clothes and footwear, as the testing will also include a physical fitness test.
