The Washington State Patrol is seeking witnesses to a drive-by shooting early Wednesday morning, May 18 along northbound Highway 167 in Kent just south of Interstate 405.
Troopers responded at about 2 a.m. after a 911 call about a shooting, according to a May 20 State Patrol press release.
Once troopers arrived on scene they discovered a vehicle on the right shoulder that had sustained at least four bullet holes. The only occupant of the vehicle was the driver and he was not struck.
The driver described the shooting vehicle being a dark blue Honda Accord. He said that it was lowered with a wide body kit and black wheels and heavily tinted windows, according to the State Patrol. The vehicle was occupied by two males possibly in their early 20s. The passenger of the dark blue Honda lowered the window and opened fire striking the man’s vehicle shattering a window and disabling it.
State Patrol detectives are seeking anyone that witnessed or has information on the dark blue Honda Accord. The occupants are being sought for investigation of a drive-by shooting. Anyone with information can email Detective Ruth Medeiros at Ruth.Medeiros@wsp.wa.gov.
