Washington State Patrol detectives are seeking witnesses to a vehicular assault that occurred at about 3:03 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, in the southbound lanes of Highway 167 just south of Interstate 405.
A gold Lincoln, reportedly racing other vehicles, went out of control and struck a Honda Civic while traveling southbound, according to a State Patrol media release. A passenger in the Honda Civic suffered a broken femur.
The driver and several passengers in the Lincoln got out of the vehicle and jumped into another vehicle that was racing and fled the scene.
Due to the severity of the injury and other information obtained at the scene, the driver of the Lincoln will be charged with felony vehicular assault/hit and run.
Detectives are seeking any additional information that will help identify the driver and occupants of the Lincoln along with the vehicle that picked them up. Contact detective Brody Ford at 425-401-7742 or by email at brody.ford@wsp.wa.gov.
