The Washington State Patrol is looking for anyone who might have witnessed a drive-by shooting from a passenger in one car into another car at about 4 p.m. April 13 along northbound Highway 167 between Central Avenue and South 208th Street in Kent.
A white Mercury Mountaineer started to merge onto northbound Highway 167 from Central Avenue when the passenger in an older dark blue or black 1990s Honda Accord 4-door sedan fired two shots out of the driver’s-side window at the Mountaineer striking it each time, according to a State Patrol media release.
A third shot was fired from the passenger out of the passenger-side window.
Nobody was injured by the shots, although the shots broke car-window glass.
The State Patrol does not know of any connection between the people in the two vehicles, said Trooper Christina Martin in a phone interview Wednesday. The Mountaineer was driven by a mother with three teen-age children.
The occupants of the Honda are believed to be at least two Asian or Hispanic men approximately 19 years old.
Witnesses are asked to call State Patrol detective Ruth Medeiros at 425-401-7719.
