State Patrol arrests Kent man driving wrong way on Highway 18

The Washington State Patrol arrested a 24-year-old Kent man for investigation of drunk driving after he drove the wrong way on Highway 18 at about 12:38 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 12.

The Washington State Patrol arrested a 24-year-old Kent man for investigation of drunk driving after he drove the wrong way on Highway 18 at about 12:38 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 12.

The man was treated and released for injuries after his 2009 Honda Civic while traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Highway 18 from 244th Avenue Southeast struck a 2004 Chevrolet Impala driven by a 42-year-old North Bend man traveling eastbound approaching the Cedar River Bridge, according to a State Patrol media release.

After hitting the Impala in lane two, the Honda Civic rotated and struck a 2009 Toyota Tacoma pickup driven by a 42-year-old Issaquah man traveling eastbound in lane one.

No one was injured in the other vehicles, which each had a passenger. Everyone involved in the accident wore seat belts. All three vehicles were totaled.
