Springbrook Elementary School in Kent hosted a carnival last Friday.
The carnival was an incentive to encourage students to read or have someone read to them throughout the school year. As students met reading goals, they earned tickets they could use on more than 20 activities and games at the carnival. So far this year, students at the school have read 1.5 million minutes.
