The Everett Silvertips snapped the Seattle Thunderbirds’ six-game winning streak with a 2-0 Western Hockey League win Saturday night at Xfinity Arena.

The T-Birds (7-2-1-0) remain atop the U.S. Division.

Everett (5-3-0-0) took a 1-0 lead 2:25 into the second period. Cameron Dewar took a pass from Devon Skoleski and split the T-Birds defense for a breakaway. Seattle goalie Logan Flodell stopped Dewar’s wrist shot from the slot, but Dewar chipped the rebound over Flodell’s glove for the opening goal.

The Silvertips went in front 2-0 at 15:47 of the second on a slap shot by Lucas Skrumeda. Dewar had the only assist on the goal.

The T-Birds outshot the Silvertips 15-11 in the second period.

The T-Birds pulled Flodell for an extra attacker late in the game. They had several chances but could not get the puck past Everett goalie Carter Hart.

Flodell ended the evening stopping 22 of 24 shots and his record is now 4-1-1-0.

Hart made 32 saves to get the shutout and his record is now 5-3-0-0.
