The King County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the public’s assistance to help solve the death of a woman found Dec. 14 near the 25600 block of Highway 18 near Covington under suspicious circumstances.
The Sheriff’s Office sent a news release Dec. 21 asking that any motorist or commercial driver who traveled westbound on Highway 18 from Southeast 231st Street to Auburn Way between 9:30 and 10 a.m. on Dec. 14 to contact investigators if their vehicle has a dashboard or similar camera with video saved from that date and time.

As of Monday morning Dec. 21, the identity of the woman and her cause of death had yet to be released by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Detectives began to investigate the suspicious death after deputies found a body in the Southeast 25600 block of State Route 18.
Members of the Sheriff’s Office observed suspicious activity at about 10 a.m. Dec. 14, as they passed the unincorporated area of southeast King County, according to a Dec. 16 Sheriff’s Office news release.
They promptly returned to investigate the area where they located a deceased woman.
