King County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who they believe is responsible for two recent bank robberies in Auburn and Covington.
The most recent robbery occurred just before 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, at the Chase Bank located in the Fred Meyer in the 16700 block of Southeast 272nd Street in Covington. The suspect entered the bank, passed a note and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, according to a Sheriff’s Office media release.
The previous robbery was March 3 in a Fred Meyer/Chase Bank in Auburn. The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s and about 6 feet, 3 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a Miami Heat cap, grey button-up jacket and jeans.
